PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Airport Rail Transit (ART) is part of a master plan for the expansion of the San Francisco International Airport. The ART is a people-mover that will carry passengers between all of the major terminals and destinations at the airport and connect the airport to BART using automated guidance technology. Faye Bernstein & Associates is responsible for the structural design of over 1000 feet of the elevated guideway structure that will carry the ART. The structure is composed of prestressed concrete box girder beams, outriggers, circular columns and footings.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
FBA is part of the structural engineering design team for the new BART station at the SFIA. The structure is a three-story, ductile concrete frame building with poured-in-place concrete slab and beam construction. The foundation system is supported on piles and pile caps.
